My name is Emmanuel Jean Edmond Lorenzo de Brionne and I believe it’s easier for everyone to call me Manu L’hostie.

I started creating art in 2022 with clay. Before that, I had done various jobs that never made me feel complete or fulfilled.

One day, without knowing why, I bought some clay and it felt like something I always needed to do. Since that day, I’ve become passionate about it. I learn more techniques and art styles every day, and I try to share my knowledge through my work and the classes I give.

In my art, I’m always trying to mix three things: technicity, stories, and emotions. These three elements have to answer to each other in some ways, and I can mix the media to try to express it the best way (mixing sculpture and pottery, mixing painting and sculpture…).

The reason I want these three things to connect to each other is because I need my art to connect to people, to my past, and to my future.
