Painting and ceramic sculpture patined with tar – mixed media 2025

The Raven seems to emerge from canvas in an astonishing way, its wings spread wide while flying across a sky full of heavy clouds as if a storm was soon going to appear.

The tar makes the Raven even darker such as if it was a creature unknown and coming from nowhere. The movement of the clouds and of his wings make the whole scenery more alive. It explores the link between our emotions and our actions when our environment changes and how we get through it.

This work represents my emotions the first month after I arrived when I had this feeling of freedom and excitement because of the change in my life but also this impression of not being at my place and to seek a place where I could land and find myself.
